Yep, El Pollo Loco decided to cater to the ketogenic diet enthusiasts and create the first fast food chain keto burrito. Our final opinion The World’s First Keto Burrito In order to keep casting cards, you are going to need a way to generate mana. I feel at this stage its important to look at mana sources as it establishes what is capable with the cost of the graveyard fuel cards. This means that as long as you have the mana you can keep casting these for the escape cost. Lets say you keep aiming to put 4 cards into your graveyard. How about some of the Green cards in Commune with the Gods or Gather the Pack? They provide both card advantage and putting cards into your graveyard. There is going to eventually need to be more of a game plan. Now this doesn't actually do anything on its own, costing you a u to put 2 cards into your graveyard essentially. Tome Scour is 5 cards, so is netting you 2 cards each time. Say if you start with 7 cards in your graveyard (including the Thought Scour), then you can cast it 4 times. However you are drawing a card each time. If this is your only means of fueling your graveyard you will run out of resources. If you are looking to cast Thought Scour a number of times for example, it only puts 2 cads into your graveyard and you need to escape 3 cards. Its important to avoiding spinning the wheels too much. I've broken this thread into color-combinations and I specifically list cards that caught my attention within these. These cards also want to be of use potentially in games which you don't get to use Breach. However a big part of Breach is that you find a way to keep recasting particular cards that can put further cards into your graveyard and also look to gain advantages or at least keep digging until you find the card(s) you need to close the game out. There are cards that can put massive amounts of cards into graveyard all in one go Oath of Druids, Hermit Druid, Mirror-Mad Phantasm, Traumatize, Fleet Swallower, Morality Shift, Doom Whisperer. However I will highlight stuff that can get you thinking about how to use Underworld Breach. Trying to cover all the various ways to do this are going to be too numerous to mention. Graveyard strategies are nothing new, and really is one of the cornerstones of Magic across all formats. However a big part of this thread is to also show you that you can run small packages around the card in order to still get great use out of it. Now within this there is also redundancy, meaning the more cards you have that do these particular things, the more likely you are to have access to them. If Underworld Breach goes to graveyard, do you have a way to recover it? However there are three components to making Underworld Breach more dynamic in your deck. Especially in Red where getting non-artifact cards from your graveyard is very limited. Is that good enough? Honestly that is not too bad. Well at its very worst you can use it to recast say a single card from your graveyard. What do you need to make Underworld Breach a good card in your deck? As long as you can stock your graveyard you can keep recasting that mana generating source.įor example you only need a Lion's Eye Diamond to keep generating more mana. Underworld Breach on the other hand only requires potentially one outlet for generating mana. Just having a single Dark Ritual as a mana source is not really going to be sufficient enough to string a big turn together. You also need specifically a number of these cards to be in your graveyard. With Yawgmoth's Will if you wanted to generate lots of mana for example, you'd normally need quite a few different types of cards to do it, whether that be a mix of Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, and some number of other mana sources that provide more mana than cost to cast them like Lion's Eye Diamond, Lotus Petal.īut even if I had access to all these cards, generating mana is limited. The fact that it doesn't exile the cards you actually want to cast, means that you only need a couple of action cards in order to get an engine going. But the overriding factor is that it is commanders new powerhouse.Īt first it looks similar to Yawgmoth's Will but there is a very real distinction. I've been playing Underworld Breach in a number of decks and in a few different capacities. The Gear pages are best viewed in Desktop mode. What’s better than a fictional hero come to life?Īfter Sole’s adventures as the Shroud conclude, Piper will do a series of interviews with them about their experiences as the Shroud for the paper.Ĭan’t believe he got roped into being the Silver Shroud’s sidekick. She’s a huge fan of the Noire aesthetic Sole gives off in the costume, and is excited to be their reporter sidekick! The voice may be a tad cheesy, but she loves it anyways. Thinks it’s a fun distraction from heavier missions… until things go south, of course. Sole’s portrayal of the Silver Shroud even starts changing his mind, and he soon finds himself able to tolerate the original show when they listen to it. Nick plays along with Sole’s charade, helping them dole out justice as the Shroud’s partner. While he’s definitely not the Silver Shroud’s biggest fan, he is plenty happy helping Kent out. He can’t wait until Sole drops the act, and they can get to the good, actually paying jobs. MacCready will still help Sole, but the fact they’re going so far as to use the voice is a bit… off-putting. He may roll his eyes and mutter something, but he’ll still support Sole’s vigilante justice. But the voice and costume are a little grating at times. On one hand, it’s certainly amusing to see Sole run around dressed as a comic book guy. Plus, two costumed freaks striking down douchebags who’ve wronged folks- what could be more of a good time? He likes the costume, and finds it quite flattering on Sole. And he’s glad to be their little partner in crime fighting!ĭown with it, as long as Sole sticks to kicking asses that deserve it. He’s quite happy to help Sole with whatever they need! Sure, the costume and voice took some getting used to… but Dogmeat knows it’s still Sole. It’s just like how the Unstoppables comics go! Kent, of course, loves the idea of Grognak joining the Silver Shroud. Of course, his trademark shades ruin the illusion a bit- but he and Sole have one hell of a time kicking butt and taking names. He decides to nab the Grognak costume from Hubris Comics to make a powerful team. Besides, Goodneighbor has their own law enforcement! Why not just let them do their job?įreaking loves it. Of course, he’s not going to diss Sole because they’re playing dress-up… but he’s not super thrilled about playing a vigilante’s sidekick. She might giggle a bit at Sole’s vocal impersonations of the Silver Shroud, but she tries her best to stay in character alongside them.įinds it horrendously unnecessary and disrespectful, to be honest. They play the part so well! Curie is happy to play sidekick, though she’s relieved that Sole tries to talk the criminals down first (before they’re forced to violence). She thinks it’s a tad silly, but she’s intrigued about Sole’s acting abilities. Codsworth just rolls with it, seeing how Sole is having such great fun pretending to be the Silver Shroud! He pretends to be the Shroud’s loyal butler, roped into adventure by accident. He remembers when Sole would listen to the show pre-war. She does think the costume is cool, but would never admit it. Cait doesn’t really like the voice, finding it obnoxious. Sole, being such a goody two-shoes, of course had to stop and help Kent. And if that means cleaning up the streets with a costumed crusader, then so be it! At least Sole is having a blast. She believes it’s a bit bizarre and unnecessary, but she’s happy to help folks out. As such I have done all sorts of quests I have picked up in the field opposed to having picked them up from a quest giver in a town.Sorry this is so short, and took awhile to get to :’) I basically side quested my way around the watseland before moving on to Diamond City or Taking the Castle. I have been into the "Memory Hole" (maybe wrong name?) and have a quest line to find nick valentine from that even though I am yet to even meet piper and the Diamond City Mayor.ĭo I need to do any of these in a certain order to ensure i do not create a game breaking bug? As such this quest line is also left as "Talk with Danse".įinally I have not gone to Diamond Coty yet but watched a friend playing and saw him go there and do the Finding Nick Valentine Questline. I helped them near a Police HQ and when asked to join declined. I Did some of the questline I think is mentioned here also. I do not have Hancock as an avilable companion, but I travel alone anyway. I have retrieved Silver Shroud Items but did not feel like doing the next part where I dress up as the Silver Shroud and so have that quest left waiting as "Speak to Kent". I currently have to meet Bobbi near Diamond City to further a quest I am sure is the digging one mentioned here. I am mid quest in some of these and had not heard of the bugs mentioned here and am now worrying! Landscape materials can get rather large, so adjustable quality based on distance and other settings like it would be useful. I would also love to know the details on performance. Would of course fade it out by distance to save resources. I noticed about a 10fps decrease (on a GTX 970) when using the old system with 40 samples, 2k Base color, Normal, Roughness and Height for parallax and covering a large landscape with just one layer, but without silhouette(wasn’t supported for landscape), compared to the same material without POM.Īre we talking this kind of performance or would it be a lot costlier? Are we able to lower quality of it from certain distances/angles so there is more Staircasing/pancaking when not close or at certain angles and such? I’d rather have slightly lower quality but be able to use it for every ground material than perfect quality but too costly for something that big. Most importantly for me is to not have to change the HLSL code in the custom node when I want to reference another texture sampler.Īnd that there won’t be any issues with having multiple of this material function in the same landscape material without having them go apeshit and reference the wrong samplers. Here’s an example of just how accurate the most recent version can be! I’ll write a post detailing some more features later this week. I checked the other thread and it looks like we use basically the same algorithm, however mine has some early outs for efficiency, adjustable view angle falloff for per-asset iteration scaling, and a refinement phase to drastically reduce staircasing if you have extra power to spare. It’s not a cheap effect, but it’s surprisingly affordable if you don’t use a high res heightmap or won’t be covering much of the screen with it. Just give it a heightmap object and it’ll give you the parallaxed UVs to use or further manipulate however you like. I’ve done a fair bit of testing to find sensible defaults for everything so that if you only want to prototype you’re not asked to fuss around with iteration values and whatnot. Glad to hear it! The entire thing is packaged in a drag-and-drop Material Function. Haven’t tested this yet but I’ll be sure to and post about it here! I plan to make this available on the Marketplace for ~$30 dollars, with a large example library done in the style of Epic’s walkable content demos.Īny comments, feedback, suggestions, or requests you might have are extremely welcome! More images to come shortly. Here are some work in progress shots using unmodified T_Cobblestone_Pebble textures from the starter content: I’m making a “real” parallax occlusion mapper with variable iterations, easy plug-and-play heightmap replacement, better visual results, and a whole lot of other goodies I’ll talk about soon. It’s slow, it’s static, the number of iterations is fixed, it’s nearly impossible to edit, it doesn’t compute silhouettes, the layers aren’t interpolated, and that’s just off the top of my head. It achieves this through overlapping opacity maps, taking tiny slices of the height information from top to bottom, and shifting the slices’ UVs at differing magnitudes based on their desired depth. Well, it does, but it’s this horrible inflexible homunculus of a node graph that I can’t even screenshot fully when zoomed all the way out. So UE4 doesn’t include a parallax occlusion mapping shader. Switching to a lower level character by dying, also means that this character will get all the xp awarded by the crack so far. Note that you can switch between floor, but only between level 15+ characters. If they do, you will be switched out to the next living character no matter it's level. If you die in the crack, the mission does not fail for your teammates, and they can still finish the level. Your character's health pool does not regenerate between floors, though talents and weapons can remedy that. Investing in the green tree is a good way to mitigate that, aswell as taking your time to make sure you do not meet a quick demise. The difficultyĭamage becomes unforgiving with time, and enemies become more and more spongier. Note that how far ahead it skips, depends of the highest floor reached within the party, so it might be 10, or 20 floors at first, and then smaller skips ahead. Loot doesn't get better the further down you go (though you do get a marginally better amount of shards).Īnd it also forces the rest of the party to follow you. Generally, there's no reason to take it apart from chasing the top of the leaderboard at the moment. (on that note, only the party leader's phase slip is spent, so make a party if you want to search a bit longer for blessed runs!) The skipping portal Meaning, that if you've got a lot of key and more than enough shards, you can afford to scout the first 4 floors to know if a run's going to be worth it or not, before deciding to go on or not. Note that those rewards can be upgraded by the scavenger tree. For each 4 floors, you're guaranteed to get a floor reward befitting the run, so if you get nothing but green/gray, you're guaranteed one green per 4 floors, and same goes for epic, and legendaries. You don't get anything but the floor rewards, money found in chests, and shards given at the end of every level. Note that you might be partied up with others when going in solo, or no one at all, much like ordinary missions The drops Generally, The crack is a bit more stable when playing solo (which means being the last one to crash, more often than not.) When in a party, it's advised to press 'esc' when the lobby's frozen, which may reduce de the loading time by a bit. At least, for those that don't constantly crash, get disconnected, or get stuck in infinite loading screens. The Crack's currently the best way to get legendaries, as well as the sole source of shards. However those are not centralized anywhere, so I thought I'd try my hand at a small guide! The Crack Hello! Been playing since the release or close enough, and picked up a lot of information through hearsay or the discord. So it can be genes and it can be the environment. "People who are abused early in life or who are neglected, for example, they have a reduction in the volume of the amygdala. "We know that there are strong genetic contributions to the brain areas, but we also know that the social environment can impact the brain," Raine said. In psychopaths, this doesn't happen to the same degree. When most people are given a moral dilemma to consider, such as the trolley problem, the amygdala fires up and lights up on brain scans. In psychopaths, this area is up to 18% smaller. The amygdala is the area of the brain where people process emotions. A fly-on-the-wall glimpse at 12 weeks of excruciating basic training. If we thought about doing something a little bit scary, we'd get scared." Psychopaths, on the other hand, don't. It's because they lack fear and they lack conscience. "Psychopaths are more likely to be thrill seekers, and more likely to push the envelope on life," he said. For example, Adrian Raine, a professor of criminology at the University of Pennsylvania and expert on psychopathy, told INSIDER that psychopaths tend to have a "blunting of emotions." It often indicates a user profile.Įxperts have sometimes suggested that psychopaths don't experience emotions like the rest of us do. The first section of Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" comes to mind, although shorn of all melodrama and nearly all human interest, this non-fiction portrait is an even purer distillation of famously brutal Marine training methods. Grueling physical challenges culminate in an epic "death march" with full gear in sweltering heat. Such are the rigorous standards that it can take seven men to properly make one bed. Already hard to differentiate as individuals due to their uniforms and shaven heads, recruits in Platoon 1141 emerge as separate beings only in moments when one of them commits some blunder, prompting sustained humiliation and punishment from their drill sergeant. Sans narration or interviews, pie echoes the breakdown of individual will and buildup of team-mindedness that comes with indoctrination.
